ZOFIA KULIK

Born in Wroclaw in 1947.

She graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department in 1971.

In 1970-71 she worked on her diploma consisting of approx. 500 slides in the simultaneous projection on three screens. Polymorphous narrative motifs were accumulating in a logical structure of sequences.

From 1971, in an artistic duet with Przemyslaw Kwiek as KwieKulik (KK), they ran in their private apartment in Warsaw, an independent Studio for Art Activities, Documentation and Propagation.

Its archives contain slides and negatives of ephemeral art in Poland of 70-ties, prints and artists’ books. They did actions, installations, objects, interventions, texts, films, slides, mail-art.

Since 1987 she has been working individually (black-&-white multiple exposure photographs, objects).
