The Kulik-KwieKulik Foundation was established in 2016 upon the initiative of Zofia Kulik, Monika Branicka, Asia Zak Persons and Maksymilian Kwiek. The mission of the partnership is to preserve the artistic accomplishments of Zofia Kulik and KwieKulik as well as opening new channels of cooperation with museums, collections and other archives.
The home and studio of the artist will be the center of the foundation and is located very near Warsaw in the town of Łomianki. This residence will serve as the focal point where these artists life works, memorabilia and all their other artistic materials will be gathered for study and research. Kulik-KwieKulik Foundation is a continuation of the idea of Studio of Activities, Documentation and Dissemination, as well as the long-term archival practice of Zofia Kulik.
The profile of the Foundation and it’s consequent actions are derived from the artistic practice of Zofia Kulik and KwieKulik, artists who began their careers in the late 1960’s and who consistently implemented the ideas of the avant-garde and experimental art. We support any artistic practices in which the boundaries between art, politics and everyday life are blurred and overlapped.
The Foundation is led by Wiktoria Szczupacka.
